Two bulbs are illumined and a switch controls the bulbs on the base. The Italian marble is stupendous! A choice slab of glorious black and gold marble from Italian quarries produced this most beautiful marble!

This is the sort of lamp you would find in a Beverly Hills estate or upon the desk of a successful lawyer in Manhattan - it embodies quality, timelessness and elegance with aplomb. The fittings are all lovely! All brass is in excellent condition with rich gold hues.
